Like the title says Im looking for the air intake that sits atop the intake and seals to the hood for a true SS. Let me know. Thanks.

Just want you to know there are plenty of people who see gains with a CAI over the factory SS intake.

Typically people who are looking for a factory SS intake are looking to make a clone car or replace their current SS intake with a newer one.

I'm sure he'd done the research and knows which intake makes the most power, and on a stock car we're talking about maybe 2-3hp which won't be noticable on the street.

I'm not saying your wrong, but I was just saying I'd assume the OP has his reasons for wanting one, whatever they may be. Who am I/are we to judge?

CMC= Camaro Mustang Challenge. Its a division within SCCA. You have to stick with pretty much nothing but factory parts. I'd run the SS exhaust and intake and run LS1 brakes. Fun idea.

I have read all the arguments over SS air intakes VS CAI VS trans am Ram air intakes. Its one of those never ending arguments really. I want one for me SS clone.

Try SLP...They might have a few left but I kown they are giving away parts anymore.

I believe they ran out a long time ago, I was going to order the SS spoiler this week since they have free shipping and wouldn't you know they sold out and are discontinued. They have nothing for our cars anymore :embarassed:

Yeah, I talked to them last winter and they sold everything for the intakes. If I can find somebody with a bottom piece I will let you know.
