I just got them on my car and I feel like crying...:( I got the polished ones, OEM, and I like them, but now that they are on the car, my car seems like it is riding SO high.. so now I really need to lower it, and I dont know, but my car feels slower now... I dont think these oem rims are heavier than my other rims????
do any of you have this set up? I had my other rims on the car for 5 years and I wanted a change.

i have had them for a loong time now and i took the rubber spring isolators out of the rear and did the "hose mod" 5/8 heater hose on the first coil on each spring and my car dropped 3/4" i would like to go a bit lower its shocks time for me so i may just get some strano springs and koni adjustables
as for feeling it lost power add some 4.10s and it will come back :metal::D

96lt1m6: PM sent.
It was too dark last night for pics (atleast good ones).
I'll snap a few later today. I just used a 1/4" spacer to test fit them (with a little BFH action too). They definately sit too far under the wheel wells. It seems that most use an 1 1/4" bolt on spacer to bring them out. Has anyone ran a 1" bolt on spacer. I think that the 1 1/4" may be slightly too much.
The car DEFINATELY needs to be lowered. I think that the weight issue is minor. Her chrome Zo6's were HEAVY aftermarket wheels. The 18/19" tirs are carrying a little more weight, but I think what she is noticing as "not feeling as fast" is the slight gear reduction from the taller tires on the back. It needs more gear as it is and thes took away from what little it has.
Besides, she did not even go WOT. Steph just used the normal driving feel as her judgement.
None of this will matter once it has some billet specialties street lites:

The 18/19" combo is somewhat temporary. The rear will eventually lose 3" off of each side and we will be able to run a 15x10 with 4.5" backspacing, instead of the hideous 7.5" backspce wheels that we have to run with a stock length wheel.

are you still on the stock gear ratio? the diameter of wheels may be too big with out changin the gear ratio. just a though.
oops just read the post again. mpe331lx already said it.

I believe the question was "Does anyone have these on their car" NOT "Give me your opinion on these". If she wanted anyone's negative opinion, she would have kindly asked for it.
Don't troll her thread with useless, non helpful stuff. We SUPPORT our fellow members on this forum, not break them down. Everyone's opinion here counts, but if it is at the point of blatant disregard for someone, that is what is not appreciated.
If anyone has a negative opinion, why bother posting? You honestly think your opinion matters that much? How about no.
As always, if anyone has a problem PM me and we'll discuss it. As far as this thread goes, it really only pertains to people who have these rims. If you don't, gtfo.

lol, she agreed with what i said anyways. the only useful idea would be to think about how it would affect rear gearing with a larger wheel. in general, most wheels without a dish look like cheap crap to me. sure, everyone has my wheels but they don't look like hot wheels.

Where the fuck did she agree with what you said?
Maybe I'm blind, I do not see it anywhere in her posts that her car feels slower because they are the ugliest wheels.
Not everyone wants to have c5 zo6s (played out) or TT2's (REALLY fucking played out).
Back on topic.
I think that she will be much happier with them once it has atleast a 1" bolt on spacer and the car gets lowered.

One, they are going to be heavier. More metal, more tire, more weight. Plain and simple there. Even though they're OEM, they're still not like a quality forged casting. Second, I believe the C6 has a slightly taller tire than the F-Body did, so you're losing a little there in the overall drive ratio department.

When you go with a spacer are you going to get longer studs? My wheels on my car, some kind of vette wheels sit way to far in the wheel well to and Id like to get some spacers. I dont know if the track would let me run them though. Also my wheels sit so far in I can barely fit my finger between the tire and the stock LCAs and the previous owner had to do major BFH mods.

They are slightly hevier, but not as much as if she went from oem 17s. Thos damn aftermarket zo6's are HEAVY, especially for a 17.

The wheel spacers I plan on putting on her car are a bolt on stlyle. Like these:

I only plan on running them only with the C6s on the street. At the track it will either wear my drag lites or a set of stock 16's until we get the Street Lites.
BTW, I know that the bolt on spacer is not NHRA legal, and I dont THINK that any spacer is. Although most have to run a small spacer to run 15" wheels up front.
It really depends on how "By the Book" your track is abot tech.

thats what i have and they work great! been to the track with them many times :D they are not NHRA legal....the small spacers are allowed though.
