So i recently pulled the engine and trans. out of the car. when we went to pull the trans from the engine there were 3 pieces of aluminum that apeared to have been bouncing around for awhile. it almost looks like they could be from the slave cylinder.....? If anyone can help me figure out where they came from i would apreciate it. I will post some pics as soon as i can.

Get some pics, that would help identifying. All the springs in the disk present and accounted for?

I don't see it being from the slave... possibly the throwout bearing.. or a weight on the flywheel maybe?

wtf.. I don't really recognize those from anything that should be in there.. they definitely aren't springs from the clutch.
Doesn't look like pieces of the throwout bearing nor is it the pilot bearing..
The circular piece almost looks like a bolt would be threaded into it

there doesnt appear to be threads on the inside of it.

That recessed socket almost looks like it could be the end of the arm for the throwout bearing.........the one that the slave cylinder rides in the end of. How's the end of that thing?

to me those look like part of the bell housing of the trans where a guide pin would go

I agree.. Looks like the bellhousing has been snapped off by the guide pin of the trans. Do you recall having to pull up the trans to the bellhousing using the bolts?

Have you ever had a starter break on this car? I've seen few lately where the housings have cracked and some where they came apart completely.
