This is way'n HEAVY on my mind :disagree:that you cant use a cutout in this class???
I dont see the diffence between a car with true duals that flow more, Than my car with a SLP dual dual set up and a 3 inch cutout..the true dual flow much more then my car and they can run..
Car must flow though a muffler the rules say, well it is just not totally but just the same as true dual set up IMO as well as others
Yes I understand its a street class but if I drove with true duals on the street OR a open cutout my car would sound the same to the cops...I run stock style muffler for street use (extreme street) and a cutout for the track...Im just confused at why my cutout is so much different the true duals...If anything Im at a disadvantage
I dont see the big deal:hmm:
rant done
discuss:D

He makes a good point about true duals being allowed in this class...I think if you are running true duals in this class then others should be allowed to run their cut out to even it out some?
I have a standard Borla so this really doesn't help me at all but I think its fair.

its does not make since to me, we have to have all this factory style stuff in place in this class. last time a f body had true dauls factory was what 80 81? :Dlol
I just dont see the big deal if I crack my cutout to be less then even with the true dual in this class

Cutouts are for cheaters.
I agree, we should amend the rules for cutouts.

no true duals / no cutouts
true duals being allowed then I have to say cutouts should be allowed as well

Let us think about this. Hate to make a rule change this close to the event.

I understand that, I just didn't think to ask earlier if it would be a issue as the car is still running thur the muffler as well. I as well as many others have changed so much on there cars for these classes as it is. A exhaust swap at this point is out of the budget.

We hate to change anything this close to the event but we see your point. The Borla guys have a built in cut out.....etc so how can we not let others have a cut-out.
New ruling
You can have a cut-out but you have to have a muffler on the car. You have to pass the visual test in tech. Basically we will look for a muffler. We have had many emails and pm's about this over the last few months so we will go ahead and amend the rule.

Im sure this applies to Ex N/A class to?
If so, well to tell ya the truth that pisses me off alot, seeing that I already spent money for a TD set up specifically since I was told I could NOT run a cut out. That was money I could have used for a new set of tires. Now I may have to run some bald tires and hope they last if I cant find the extra cash else where.

Every year will get better and better you learn what works in every class it's not like there's a book on how to make things fair you guys do and did a great job! The only reason I think it was change is that I made a valid point and I thank you again
