Well it was only the 2nd day the track was open so, to say the least the track sucked super bad, and was cold with little rubber on it. Lets just call it spin fest! I got there at 8 and track closed at 9. No cool down time or nothin! Drove to and from the track 1hr+ each way.
Cant wait for a real track and to get used to the car!!

AChotrod
04-04-2009, 05:15 AM
Yep. I wanted to leave at 5-6k but still have a stock clutch and the track couldnt even handle a 4k launch. It was very slippery the entire track.

That car has an 11.1-11.2 in it just as it sits. Your car picked up almost 26mph on the second half. Get that shifting nailed too.

AChotrod
04-04-2009, 03:28 PM
Still figuring out the new set up. Not used to shifting at 6600. It just seems odd. lol

the 1-2 2-3 sounded good... the 3-4 coulda been faster...

Those are awesome numbers for the first time out though. I know what you mean about the 6600rpm thing... I feel like something is going to break if I see my tach go over 5800 lol

04-04-2009, 06:15 PM
LOL! Yes basically we were, there was about 10 other cars I saw run. I think I was the fastest car there by a long shot. I saw a nice sounding LS1 Z running 13.2s, a couple stangs, some jap crap, a couple trucks and 2 bikes. No track prep or heat in the track. Very bad racing condtions.

Wish my track was empty like that. I went a couple weeks ago and there were probably 200 cars there. I got to run one time behind 3 cars that sprayed oil on the track and my bolton camaro spun all the way through 2nd feathering the throttle.

Car sounds good as hell though. I dont like bullets usually, but it sounded feroscious going down the track.

My stock clutch (w/ 3k miles) couldn't hold 300rwhp LOL. I dont see how yours is surviving! Although, I am disappointed hearing you lift to shift! Who done it.....

The car looks good on the fats and skinnies! Definitely gives me something to look forward to at the shootout!

Thats a good start. I think your 60' times will be coming way down.

I wish the track was open here. But I still wouldn't be able to make a pass.

What suspension mods do you have? You definitely have some room to improve on that 60'

AChotrod
04-06-2009, 12:31 AM
I think a good track alone will drop that 60ft to a 1.6, more when my street twin gets here and I can leave at 6k. :).
Suspension is stock shocks & springs, LCAs, SFCs, PHB, TA, STB, and removed the front sway bar.

Congrats.

Thanks!!! Im very happy with them both!!!! SPEEDINC and LE Rule!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have a HP Estimate for me? Its gotta be making more then the dynoed 413.66/366. I think the TDs helped a ton but also just driving the car and the computer self adjusting helped alot. The car drives much better than when I first got it back.

I plugged in your numbers and it said 412.92 rwhp check it out.

I didnt get that, et was low, and MPH was high on HP. what did you put in?

Badhawk
04-07-2009, 10:40 PM
I plugged in your et 11.881 and your mph 119.44 and a race weight of 3450. I thought you said your car weighed around there. This is what it gave me. I used the one from your mph because it's obvious that your et will improve once you get your sixty foot down.

Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 333.92 rear wheel HP and 371.03 flywheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 412.92 rear wheel HP and 458.80 flywheel HP.

That seems pretty close to to my dyno.
But man 119.44 mph is pretty fast when compairing to other cars that dynoed much higher.

Depends on what kind of dyno a mustang or dyno dynamics dyno will read lower than a dynojet

Manual cars always mph higher then auto's less drivetrain loss. My car is a perfect example I dynoed 468 rwhp at speed but my mph was the same as yours. My new converter dynoed 453 rwhp but were hoping it's going to pick up some et & mph.

AChotrod

May 4th mine will get dynoed again and some touch up tuning for the TDs.
Speedinc did my dyno on Dynojet. Well see. Not that I really care because the car rips, but still kinda neat to know.

I would think you would pick up 10-15 extra hp from the true duals over your old exhaust.

AChotrod
04-08-2009, 03:10 AM
425-430 with a S60 sounds great to me!!!! If I took out the s60 and ran light rims/tires Id bet it would be close to 450. Remember the 413.66 was with the S60 an open cut out and 17inch stock rims with GY F1s.

I would be more happy about your mph than the hp numbers 119 for a heads & cam car is awesome.

Oh Im extremely happy with the MPH. I was hopin for 117, 120 is well beyond my expectations. Now just need to dial it in and get used to it. Think some LCA relo brackets would help?

Have you weighed the car since you took that tad bit of weight out?

AChotrod

Kinda on a 100yr old track scale. Larry's gonna weight it next time its in the shop.
