shooting for 12.40's in a bolt on car

if the weather holds up ill be heading to the track for the first time in the project car i completed 4 weeks ago :cool: for u guys who dont know the car...i has a 96 formula

raceweight 3200
-qa1's all the way around (cut v6 springs out back)
-bmr extreme tq arm and sfc's
-umi chromoly double adj lca' and panhard
-spohn 1" rear sway
-narrowed moser 9in (mini spool w/ 4:10's)
-26x11.50 et street (bias) w/ draglites all the way around
-bolt on's and all free mods (no emissions at all :) )
-ewp, 1.6rr's, manley springs
-msd 6al, 2 step, and coil
- true duals with delta 3.5in flowmasters

its pretty much a stock motor car with rr's and better springs :whistle:

the motor trapped 108 in my old camaro (13.1 with a 2.1 60ft and 3500 race weight when tracked) w/o a ewp . ill keep u guys posted there calling for snow/rain sat here. i need to get some runs in so ill know which class to register in for the ltx shootout :metal:

I really have no clue. I am minus the rear seats and spare and jack, thats it, full weight otherwise. I guess actually I have also removed the front swaybar and the air pump.

went to the track tonight and coud only cut a 1.70 60ft. jerry told me to soften the rear up a lil next time out to try and get in the 1.6's. the car has 12.40's in it as it sits. i still need to put the chromoly k member in and do some more cutting http://www.mofbody.com/forums/images/smiles/yup.gif sonofgto might be selling his 4in ws6 vfn hood so that would aslo help out on weight it he decides to sell it http://www.mofbody.com/forums/images/smiles/yup.gif car did good imo for the first time out and the season is super young..here is the best pass

The key to getting the car to ET is to get the best 60' and 330'.
That car if done right can leave at 6k+ and pull 1.5 60's.
What are the stock settings on all 4 during the vid?

We ran 12b/spool/4.33s on 26" tires, shifting becomes quick in the first 660'....

i have a pa racing chromoly k member sitting in my room. im aure ill contact u about some a arms before i throw her in the car. im running qa1 single adjustables. they were on 0 in the fronts and 12 on the rear during the runs. numerous locals told me to try 3 front 6 rear when i go fri. they also advised me to try 12-13 psi cold. i would love to run a 4.33 or tad higher. car has alot more in it. i still need to do my battery relo install too. thanks for the advice shon!
