Can I race at the LTx shootout???

Hey hows it goin, After reading about the LTx shootout last year while building my engine I was really excited to get it done for this upcoming LTx event, But I just wanted to make sure I'm eligable to race? Now the rules say LT1 based engine, then there are a few different classes that you can be in based on what you have done to your LTx engine. Now I have an LT1 based engine, but its in my 3rd gen body style camaro... I'm hoping theres no small print excluding my car from racing, but I just wanted to make sure before I go getting all excited and getting things ready for May. Please any info about the me running my 3rd gen in the event would be very helpful!

Your more than welcome to come race!!! There isnt a body requirement. You just have the meet the rules for the class you run

Awesome swap man! (not that ive seen any pictures or anything) but those cars run really good even with a "stock" motor.

Like Mike said, they dont care what kind of car you have as long as you dont break the rules/requirements.

ok awesome lol, i was a little worried about it... and I just posted a few pics on the LT1/LT4 forum of my swap. Now I'll just have to see what classes I qualify for, I'd like to run in 2 of them... right now I'm thinking LTx extreme N/A, and either bracket or 12.00 (anyone have any opinions on which 2 I should do??)..... but the only thing is I havent gotten a chance to run it at the track yet, but I'll have a little bit of time to mess with stuff before the end of may. I read about the LTx shootout online last year and it sounds like a blast, plus being around so many other cars that I love would be a ton of fun in itself. But thanks for the info guys!

I raced my stock LT1 swap last year in the bracket class and had a blast. This year I plan on running the 12.0 index class also. Hope to see you there, you won't be disappointed.
