The only injuries the driver got were from the air bag! he is pretty lucky..sucks about the car!

Thats what happens when you give teens cars that are to fast for their skills. It should be a law you can only drive a 4 banger untill your 21.

I'm also another rare highschooler who took care of thier car. I paid for mine myself at 17 ('94 Z28) and held on to it for a year and a half until I found a good deal on a M6 car.

Still in high school too. :secret:. Although I technically just graduated last week since its impossible for me to fail now. But yeah, I dont think I act my age, which I think is a good thing.

I'm also another rare highschooler who took care of thier car. I paid for mine myself at 17 ('94 Z28) and held on to it for a year and a half until I found a good deal on a M6 car.

My parents paid for half of my first Camaro (95 Convertable 3.4L), I sold it for $1,000 more than I bought it for 6 monthes later, bought a 94 Camaro (3.4L 5 speed), sold that and made some money (paid my parents back), and then bought my Formula.

I got in more trouble in a stock 1972 super beetle than I have in my sonoma or my bird, and I drove the bug for less than a year and I've had the truck for over 3 and half and the bird for over 1 and a half and I'm 21. Just you need to have some common sense and self control, and not to many highschooler have that. sucks about the goat, and the kid got really lucky, I still say that sports cars are some of the safest cars.

ive had f bodys since i was 17. im only 21 now, but when i see these highschool kids doing dumb shit... ugh. i know ive been reckless, but most of my cars were slow as balls. these kids shouldnt get anything. god i hate spoiled kids who wreck good cars.

Ha I can't say the same about the tickets... but speeding, and driving like an asshat are two completely separate things

Honestly, im surprised i havent gotten a ticket yet. I do both of the above more then i should i imagine. :laugh:

Thats when I got my first one as well. A black 95 Camaro convertable. Been in 2 accidents so far though.. One was my fault, the other one wasnt (morally, but it went down as mine since the other guy left).

so far I've only gotten two tickets, both in a 72 super beetle, hat 65hp got me into some trouble, but I can't count how many I've almost gotten into from people trying to run into me, damn people on their cell phones.

Or how about just making the road test have something in it that actually tests driving skill? I know plenty of people over 21 that can't handle v8s, and I know a few under 21 that most definitely can.

IMO, if you can't handle it, you shouldn't be driving period.

Got my 91 camaro in 1990 when I was 15. Had it on the track by 17 and and by 19 I was running 12's with some nitrous. All without incident. You have to learn to respect your car and know your limits.

I'm an old man now compared to you guys, will be 34 in June.

My Grandmother got pulled over once for speeding. She had just left the repair shop and the guy told her its good to "run the cobb webs out of them every once and awhile".

So she did. And thats what she told the cop.

He must have felt bad because he let her go haha.
