Ok, i see in searching everywhere for parts, that they make alot of aftermarket MAF's. Now some people said they mess with the cars PCM maf reading since it is not calibrated. I found one that is supposedly factory calibrated from a company called PRO-M. I think it is on thunder racing. I also saw the ported maf hosuings. Is a new maf worth the money or should i just buy the ported housing.

stock maf is perfect!to modify this unit other than to descreen it is useless. some will say to NOT even descreen it but mine has been that way for 5 years and recently tuned by ION

Another vote for keeping the stock one. I used a GMS one for a while, but sold it and switched back to stock. Honestly I didn't notice anything negative about the GMS as far a driveablility went, nor did I notice any gains or losses in performance. I simply switched back because I read it was preferred for mail order tuners to get your tune right with the stock one.

Agreed, stick with the stock maf and put the money elsewhere in the car!

I didnt have any problems on 2 cars with a Granatelli MAF but i couldnt feel any gains either. Both cars ran super strong and it did not effect them negitively. But Im keeping the stocker on this car

I wouldn't even do that! Put it toward some gears or a stall! Your stock throttle body is good for 400 hp.

Oh ok haha, then ill put it into roller rockers, I already have gears, and I dont want a stall.

Underdrive pulley is better than TB or RR for you right now. Do the free mods...TB bypass, 160* thermostat

Funny you said that, Im doing an underdrive pulley now, and I also want to do roller rockers while the car is parked for the winter. Im also adding a 160 thermostat already.

yea roller rockers are good, especially if you step up to the scorpion 1.7's. If you ever plan on goin bigger on the cam, I would get the promag 1.6's tho.

Nah the 1.7s might be a little to much for me. I want to just do the rockers, didnt wanna get involved in doing the springs as well. And im keeping a stock cam

I think the Pro-Mags would be a good choice for what you're wanting. They will require a little valve cover modification, but they are a good quality part, IMO.

Take a look at the Classifieds on here. I know its been a while, but there were a couple of sets up for sale at fair prices to both you and the seller.
