Not sure what the deal is with my Camaro but it didn't want to start this morning. It's been rainy and super humid the past couple of days and I didn't drive it yesterday (had a ride, used there gas instead). This morning when I went to fire 'er up, she didn't want to start? Would spin and spin and even spit a little bit but no go. After a handfull of tries and full throttle she fired up but she was stumbling for a while. Had NO power on take off and NO throttle response at all. After I got onto the interstate she drove just fine and didn't skip a beat? Moisture in the OPTI? Water in the fuel? Anyone have a guess on what may be my issue? Thanks to anyone who can help/ make fun of me :whistle:

I was thinking moisture in the opti. Can't say for sure though, but it fits.

Sounds like opti.... my Dad's 93 vette would do that under similar weather conditions. But yeah, hard to say for sure.

The opti is something to look at..make sure everything is in place on it. May want to check your air filter and MAF sensor. I clean my MAF sensor a few times a year. Put a code reader to it and see if its throwing anything.
Doesnt sound like anything major...probably a maintance item...have you checked or changed the plugs lately? Best of luck.

I would say moisture in your opti. I've had the exact same thing happen to me, and that's what it was.
I would check your spark when the problems arises again. Just throw an extra plug you have laying on the plug wires and see if you have got spark at the cylinder. If you do have a good spark, I would start going a different route, but I would imagine you're not going to have any spark at the cylinder.
I'd try and get this diagnosed ASAP. If there is moisture getting in there, the cap and rotor are going to begin to rust over time and eventually that opti is going to give out all together.

I was assuming it was moisture in the OPTI... As long as it makes it until the 19th I'll be fine, I'll be able to use the wifey's Silverado since she'll be in WA until I get there. I have no Idea why moisture would get in there? It's a newish MSD OPTI with new MSD wires and I wanna say NGK plugs but I could be wrong on the plugs. I'll tak a look at it but like I said, if it'll last until the 19th it can sit on the trailer and think about what it's done until I get it towed to WA and start a secret weapon build :whistle:

The votes are in...
OPTI = 100000000000
WATER IN FUEL = 0
