No sure if all of you know but I thought that maybe my converter was bad and I posted a thread about it but it the end I had to get another trans for it. Not enough $$ to rebuild the one in the car but I did find a good one and with the help of my 2 brothers I installed it over the weekend. Just another happy ending to an issure I've been dealing with for some time. New trans shifts are smooth and so far so good. I do need to replace the trans lines though cause for the life of me I couldn't stop on from leaking. I'll be replaceing those this weekend. Just wanted to show a few pics...........

Cool!! I can offer you bits of advice!! If it's a 4th gen!!

1. Put a little silicone in the holes of the bell housing except the holddown/mounting bolt for the dipstick. The silicone will hold the bolts in place and you won't have to try to squeez your hand or tool into a spot about 1 inch wide. Really made it easy to just insert the tool and find the head of the bolt and tighten. Especially the top bolts!!

2. Make sure you tighten the trans line bolts right before instalation. You'll need a special tool just to get up there and even thats hard once the trans is installed. (notice that I have a leak mentioned?)

3. Same as #2 issue except with the torque arm this time. Attache it and insert the bolts while you can get to all three. You'll not be able to do it so easy once the trans is installed. Don't tighten them until the trans is installed.

It's been a while since I've done a trans instal and this one brought back the do and don'ts of the install. Good luck!!

Yessir!! As much as I'd want an old muscle car seeing my car drive away with another owner would kill me inside.
