good day besides my Mallory Box going out and not allowing me to spray the car

first pass..foot brake to 2000

ET 11.01
MPH 121
60FT 1.48

second pass..foot brake to 2200

ET 11.00
MPH 121
60FT 1.46

now at this point I was super happy and just had to see a 10 second pass

third pass... foot brake to 2500 + open cutout .. 1HP increase

ET 10.97
MPH 121
60FT 1.45

The car was driven to and from the track with 0 issues.

I plan to go back out next weekend to spray the car and look for a 9 sec pass on 150 shot.

yes..The front end will be tightened up next outing. I like wheelies, but would rather not break anything.

good day, but no 9 sec pass due to being lean and no other T's for the dry kit

anyway it did run great on motor though the track was not there like my home track Byron was a few weeks back

I was unable to leave as hard as my first visit which I was leaving at 2500 off the foot brake. The most I did today was 2000 and was getting some slight tire shake due to cold track temps and the bite just wasn't there. I still matched my best 60 from before of 1.45 even with the small tire shake and still pulling the wheels

best pass of the day

10.89 @ 123 and this was with a 1.46 60ft

1.46
4.40
6.90
98.44
9.06
10.89
123.33

DA was good, but nothing crazy as I expected -610

I guess it's spring time to test the N20 now and plan for some changes for the NA class.

I also took some data for Yank to work with since my converter is on the loose side. The RPM would drop about 1000 rpm between shifts which leaves me some room for improvement as well.

oh yeh... drove it there and back without a problem though it was a little cold with no heat

Very nice!

A local late 4th gen Camaro went wheels up for a good 400' a week ago Sunday. It was insane. He drives it to and from the track as well.

Props to you for keeping it on the street. I think thats about the only way to go about making a fast car.

oh it will!!!!! :driving: odds are i will have this year's shot doubled up, if not more.

maintenance for the winter is new valve springs, dist. gear, and ring and pinion(my current pro gear out back has close to 200 passes and about 5 thousand miles of street driving).

i especially look froward to dinner at jack stacks barbecue, those were some billy bad ass eats!

8's thru the 1/8th , pfffft no problem i will have to get on the brakes hard though at about the 500 ft mark ;) heck i can run high 9's lifting at the 1/8th mile

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Taner-Coasting-To-a-98_192048.htm

if you go 5 min. and 30 some odd seconds into this video, i ran a 10.8 @ 113, had to lift when i grabbed 4th as the clutch was slipping, hell i had to drive it home :) over an hour drive and back into Canada :P

I'm o.k with the hijack..it a highly respected car and we are on topic of fast LT1's

9SEC6SPD

that event was too cool! my goal next year in street trim is to see how quick I can get it down the track in true street trim as you see it there. raceweight my guess is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3750 or more. i had .3 delay in the small shot i had plumbed :) and a 1.68 60' was not too shabby. it is the first time I had actually run those tires on MY car at the strip, so i wasn't too sure how to leave with them. i think there is a mid 1.55 sixty foot with those 17 inch radials on. lol!!! m/t tires rule!
I think a 225 hit should net me a 9.9x in street trim. if I did something with the stock SLP catback I am certain there is more to be had, but that keeps the toned down for the street.

and thanks, i honestly don't think i like to brag, i don't have an ego, rather just go out and have as much fun humanly possible... and then report out to the rest of us speed junkies!

AWESOME...

those M/T do work well with a few suspension tweaks and I think you will able to go well in the 9's with some track time and street trim

Jim ( INTMD8 ) or tuner and fabricator modified his 2OTL system to be 3 or 3.5 in into the core and was making over 800 through it.

9SEC6SPD
12-02-2008, 06:29 PM
i do recall Jim doing just that! and I how badass of an accomplishment that was!!! I have never taken time to race the car, at least at the track in street trim, lol!!!

i believe the 2otl is 3", it is has been a long time since I measured it. my collectors reduce from 4" to 3", into a custom 3" y pipe. I have about a 25 - 30% kink in the pipe to clear my cross bar for my torque arm. so this kills it even more, lol!!! I should take a picture and send it off to you. i have to yank the trans again to adjust the fingers on my pressure plate anyhow. it is definitley worth a serious laugh. I will have it off the car tonight so maybe I can snap a jpeg.

i have a good friend who is an amazing exhaust guy! only inhibiting factor is money, lol!!!

Larry I stopped over at the shop a few weeks ago and what you guys do is unbelievable. I would have never thought that any of you guys would still run an LT1. But I am running a 1.68 60ft time now and can't get it any lower. I am running stock gears and stock suspension. I'm looking to change that but I'm looking for the best set ups now. Just doing some research before I spend any money. I'm running a 6 speed but what would you recommend on gears and suspension?
