Ok I'm planning on building a boosted motor over the next few years. I would like to build it a little at a time and do the best parts the first time around and hopefully be in the 750 RWHP range.

But I want to do a 355 ci build. .030 over forged slugs with a 6" rod, ported TF heads, custom blower cam, splayed caps, callies dragonslayer, compstar rods (or whatever is suggested), my Moroso 7 quart oil pan, good oiling system, 24x EFI, and your suggestions.

I have stainless 1 3/4-1 7/8" stepped headers, 3" dual exhaust, built rear axle, tranny is getting built this winter, and the car will have a Wolfe 6 point roll bar this winter as well.

I'm also going to stand up the radiator to give me some more breathing room as well some other things.

Now for the blower I was thinking F1, but do you think I could get away with a D1? I'm going to use a FMIC instead of the twin ICs.

I guess I'm just looking for some ideas on what you would have done different with your build if anything at all and am I being realistic?

Thanks in advance and sorry its late and I'm basically thinking out loud

That sounds like an awesome setup.. The FMIC would look mean as hell and you can probably get away with using a D1. Who would do your cam and what specs would it have?

If you go with a centrifugal dont try vortech because i had one on my 94 before it went out and i decided to go straight motor for now. My buddy tried getting some parts from them, but Vortech said they dont make the setup for LT1 motors anymore really, all we were able to do was get it warranteed from them. So just a headsup they may give you a lil bit of negative feedback if you talk to them.

make sure you have your crank cut for dual key ways. we run a ysi with a pt1000 air to water cooler. also i don't think a 6 pt is going to cut it for the speed you are going to be running.

I think with a good cam specked for your blower, and some well ported TFS heads, along with the XFI, that 750 RWHP should be attainable with the D1. The D1SC may possibly even get you there, but the D1 is known for making a few more pounds of boost, so it would be closer. If you want the added insurance of making your 750 RWHP goal, you can always just get the F1, as it DEFINATELY will make the 750 RWHP mark.

My setup;
stock 95 LT1 PCM
HUGE non boost friendly cam
ported AFR 180 heads
FMIC with a maxed out D1SC
I put down 614 RWHP.

I could probably gain an additional 100 RWHP just by getting some large ported AFR 225 heads, and probably another 50 (if not more) if I upgraded to a FAST XFI over my stock PCM. This is to say nothing about my cam.

So given my setup and power level, you should see how you could make your goals.
