I ask for NGK plugs, and he keeps insisting i get AC DELCO PLATINUM, i ask for MSD WIRES, Says NAPA Beldn MAX wires are the best.
So does anyone know anything about the wires? and are these plugs better then the regular NGK Plugs, since they didn't have iridium or w/e its called.

AC Delco Platinums are a good plug, but try Autozone for the NGKs. AZ should also be able to order the MSD wires. Wires are really about preference. The rest of my system is MSD, and that's what I like. I've heard about the Belden wires, but I've always gone with MSD and had no problems.

I work for NAPA. I hate hearing that the store tried to sell you a different brand than you asked for. If you want NGK tell them that's what you want. They may not have had them in stock and that is why they pushed the AC.
Belden wires are the best non-performance (ie. MSD, Taylor, Moroso) that you can get from a parts retailer. I'm not just saying that cause I work for NAPA either.
By the way, NAPA stocks MSD wires. They may not keep them in the store, but the NAPA wareouse does. That means NAPA can get them relatively quick compared to say Autozone that buys them either from a Warehouse Distributor, or direct from MSD in Texas.

AC's came stock in GM so that's what most parts guys will try to sell you(i'm a parts guy at carquest). if you came in and told me you wanted NGK though, i'd go back and get you NGK's. i also have a warehouse that i can get you MSD wires overnight. sounds to me like they weren't really trying

The AC Delco's aren't going to be bad plugs by any means. Alot of guys prefer them. It's normally a toss-up between the NGKs and AC Delcos.
Why exactly are you wanting iridium plugs? Honestly, I wouldn't even spend the extra $$$, but then again I'm nowhere near an advocate for iridium plugs.
I would go back and get NGK TR55s assuming you are running naturally aspirated. The MSD wires aren't bad, but I bought these OTVC wires for my car:

Good luck shopping, man.

Ya can't beat MSD wires IMHO. Had e mon my Z for a little more than 2 years and never had a problem. As for plugs....I swear by NGK. Can't get a better plug. As for the parts guys, I suggest you go to an independent. They typically offer better customer service. I have two parts stores in S. Florida. The most common response I get from retail customers is their dissatisfaction with mass retailers far out-weighs the slight (if any) price difference. If you need anything PM me and we can talk.

FWIW, 90% of all NAPA stores are Independent Jobbers. Of our 6,000 stores only about 600 are NAPA Corporate owned. All of the NAPA owned are in large metro areas.

I swear by the NGK brand but my second would be AC Delco. As for wires MSD and Taylor are good all around wires but if your going to spend a lot of money on wires go Magnacore. I have had a set on one of my V6 Mazda Builds for about 4 years and they are lifetime warranty as well as the best wires you can get your hands on in my book.
I have heard of Nology's but never run them myself.
Hope that helps you.
