Ok, I am looking into modding my car over the winter. So far its got LT's, ory, cai, magnaflow catback, tb airfoil, and thats really it for power stuff. I was looking into putting a 52mm tb on it (dont want to take intake mani off to port for 58), a tb bypass kit, 1.6rr's, and getting a pcmforless tune. I also wanted to upgrade the fuel system with a bit bigger injectors, and new fuel filter (just maintenece purposes). What size injectors would be best for the car with the mods I have and am planning to do? Im not going to make and internal mods such as cam or anything so rule those "future mods" out.

http://www.racetronix.com/621020.html plus 255lph pump,adj.reg.
and of course a tune to go along with the planned mods.

Is 32 lb overkill at all or not for the setup i plan to run? Sorry not good with injector sizing.

it is easier to tune an injector down rather to tune up..
some people use the SVO 30lb red tops which actually are more like 32-33lb with Lt1 fuel pressure..

Honestly why (IMO) waste the money on injectors, and/or even a fuel pump??? I have essentially the same mods on my 95 Z but I also have nitrous on the car. Even then all I did was get a new set of stock replacement injectors for insurance when spraying. I am getting a Racetronix 255 pump, again for fuel volume with the spray.

If your pump is going out or you have resaon to believe the stock injectors are not working well, then go for it. If you even remotely think you will be taking the mods to the next level maybe jump up to some 28's or 30's on injectors. Otherwise I'd keep the 24's. JMO.

It sounds like the stock injectors will work just fine for you. The only reason to touch them with your curent set-up would be to have them serviced and cleaned. No reason the waste money that could go to other mods on something that you do not need.

I've got 30# on my 383 and they are fine. I would think 32s would be overkill for a bolt on car. Unless you had other plans for it I'd leave the injectors alone for now.

You can always Tune a Injector down....not good to turn it up

get 42's and be done, this covers you for future mods and all

+1. Stock injectors and the stock TB for that matter will be just fine for your plans.

its all about duty cycle, stock is at 80% so when bolt ons are added duty cycle goes higher! so in my book an upgrade to larger injectors is a bonus for 2 reasons: stock injectors are pretty old now and stock 24s are just enough for a (STOCK) Lt1.....larger injectors as i stated earlier can be adjusted when you get your tune to keep duty cycle down to 75-80% and to match the performance level.

How exactly can the injectors be tuned down? Would the guys from pcmforless be able to do that when I send them my pcm or is there a way for me to do that on my own?

The tuner can adjust the injectors through the tune easily.that is why they ask you for a mod list so everything is balanced out...

my buddy has 60lb mototron injectors in his car he does have a turbo however the car still runs just fine when not under boost with those injectors,it's all in the tune......

Unless you have data logs that say otherwise, I agree with the others - you should be fine with the stockers, for now.
