View Full Version : Bleeding Brakes
Counted Out

So I took the lines off of one of my calipers thinking I was going to remove it to paint it (I ended up leaving it on) so now I need to bleed my brake system. My Chilton manual mentions hooking something up to the OBD to help bleed the system - but since by car is a 93, this isn't possible.
How do you guys bleed the brakes?

never had a problem doing it the normal way on my 95. just start with the wheel farthest from the master. an ASE master tech i used to work with told me to do it that way and its never given me an issue. i've also always used the 2 person approach. its not THAT much of a pain.

2 person will work fine, but you may need to start the car the get the booster to loosen up after a few pumps. I deleted my ABS and I will be using a 1 person air powered bleeder kit. I dunno if you can use them with the abs, I never tried.

If you let all the fluid drain from the master cylinder it will take a while to get all the air out. But as said before start with the farthest wheel from the master cylinder and it might take a couple times on each wheel.
