I finally got my car running right. I never figured out exactly what was causing the problem so checked and replaced a few hoses and changed my O2 sensor with a extension and its been great every since. http://www.tnfbody.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

So I finally got the courage to take it out to the local 1/8th mile track.(Brained Optimist)

I've never gone down the track and was just hoping for some high nine cause every1 talks down about the LT1 A4 combo.

Well here is what I did on my street tires

First Pass: (no burnout)

React: 1.434(seen green b4 I hit gas)
60' 2.250
330ft 6.013
594ft 8.552
1/8 ET 9.122 @ 79.07 MPH

Not the best but first try ever was pretty pumped up after seeing a 9.1 since I was expecting high 9's all night.

First Race vs a SBC RX-7 with mod lt1 intake.: (no burnout still and scared to stall it up)

Me RX-7
1.050 react 8.90
2.248 60' 1.989
5.970 5.584
8.492 8.091
9.060@ 79.08 8.681 @76.25
1st

Second try vs Rx-7 (Burnout and stalled up to about 1500)
Rx7 Me
.920 1.072
1.961 2.121
Et
8.656 @ 78.57 8.909@ 76.92

Stayed around a 8.9~8.93 for about 6 passes.

Then best run vs a S/C Cobra dunno year but could hear the whine easy plus he is on DR's

Me Him
.762 react 1.175
2.116 60' 2.136
8.870 @ 79.78 8.213 @ 89.28
by .2247 his win. but love hearing a supercharger whining beside me in the other lane.

I did have a good reaction time and decent 8.92 run against at 03-04 Gt for my last run of the night with a
.502 react and 2.179 60' it would have been better but let up cause I swore I red lighted.

So what do ya'll think for a untuned I/E Lt1 A4 with 3.23 gears?
and any tips on how to launch it? and How to get to a 8 flat with bolt on and smaller cam(Hotcam/CC503)

Then gonna look for a dyno somewhere close by that deals with LTx's and lsx's

Reaction time doesn't reflect 1/4 time or anything importance. You could leave 10 seconds after that light turns green and it still wouldn't matter. As for your times. Its not bad. Its about where an LT1 with your mods should be.

Look into drag radials. Consistent sub 2.0 60fts will be your best friend on track nights, which means lower 1/4 times and a happier you. To get a 8.0, you will need to drop 2 seconds in the 1/4 mile. So you will need to run a 12.0ish which means you will need every bolt on, weight reduction, and a nice stall. A bigger cam would make it easier, but people have done great times with those cams. But its definitely not the norm.

I ran 79mph when I had a shitty flowmaster and that's it so you're right on par. I trapped 100.7 in the 1/4 with the same setup

Well I never got any notifications on this thread.

Since I've been doing some research and was still a lil bit of a ltx noob when I first posted this but i've made some decisions.

Gonna find me a short block and start from there. slowly putting money into it till its right.

but as of now, stocking up on suspension parts and dad said he would buy me some DR's if I let him put his company name on my car. so gonna have that done
and also looking into a 100 shot. I hear everyone say 150 is fine but nah... don't really want to risk to much.
and picked up a spare 4l60e and building it once I get a 3600 stall.

and for the motor one of my dad's old racing friends picked up a CNC and will port my heads so looking for some bare one as we speak. and still considering the Hotcam and CC503 but open to ideas and I keep doing research.

parts are just expensive but luckily got my old job as a Electrical Engineers assistant :p and the girlfriend decided to move in with me. So i am limited atm.
