I used a cutoff bend from another cat-back (magnaflow I think). Any local shop should be able to set you up. Don't waste the money on the SLP kit.

For reference do you have a pic of what i will need or a diameter of how wide and were the bends are etc.? or much it will cost?

The kit also comes with hangers which you need. Loudmouth is designed for LS1 cars, so you need to put LS1 hangers on there. The pipe you can have someone fab up no problem, then you can just buy the 96-97 install kit.

You could go this route. It's cheap and the kit is going to sound better than loudmouth IMO. Not to mention it will save you a headache. Just something to think about if you aren't dead set on the LM.

One kit is for the 93-95 cars. It comes with the hangers and the adapter pipe, because those cars are single cat and end further forward. The 96-97 cars are dual cat (as well as the 95 CA cars) and the y-pipe ends in the same place as LS1 cars, so it just comes with hangers.
The Loudmouth is designed based on the LS1 cars, and they use different exhaust hangers than LT1s. So you need the install kit to install Loudmouth on an LT1 car. For an LS1 it would be a direct bolt-on with no install kit needed.

You can make it work with everything in the SLP LM1 box. You dont need an adapter or any of that other stuff. I forgot what I did, and/or how I did it, but I can take a picture to show you what I used. You dont have to waste your money on something like that.
I'm pretty sure I put the "muffler" (:D) right after my LT's and switched the other short pipe to where the muffler was.

I forgot why I did that, but it worked so I did. I then had to take a clamp and make the pipe a little smaller on one side of the short pipe that I circled down so I it would fit inside another pipe.
I'll take some pictures this weekend to show you what I did, and how I made it work. It still looks good, doesnt hit anything, no leaks, and sounds awesome. Easy way to avoid paying $110 for a stupid pipe and a few clamps. :claps:

Are you going from that into the stock catback? Because that's what I'm understanding. Also, to do what you did, the OP would have to have an aftermarket y-pipe with a 3" collector.
For bolting the LM to a STOCK y-pipe, the install kit is what he needs.

I have a friend that owns a muffler shop I am gonna just go over there and fab up the S bend pipe and make it work with the stock Y pipe. I am sure its possible to bolt it up to the stock Y pipe without any kits or anything.
I hope...:jest:

Just make sure it is a 2.5" pipe on the exit end. That small straight pipe in the LM kit is an adapter pipe to connect the 3" LM pipes to the stock 2.5" y-pipe outlet.
