so i was just outside taking a few pics of the underside of my car because i was kind of curious to see how it looked under there (ive seen under it before but its hard to see when your lying on the ground, lol) i think its still pretty clean for having 123k miles and being 14 years old (real years not model years) Heres why i dont drive my car through the salt/snow :) other than a little bend in the frame rail from a jack (i'm assuming it was from a jack or lift or something, most probably have similar) i think my car is pretty clean under there, and yes that is stock exhaust too. For once, it's not covered in 5W30, lol

Where's all the oil residue, or did you swap a Gen III into there?

as a related note to this thread, you might want to pull up the plastic rocker panel running board things on each side and clean underneath.. someone who replied to my thread on ls1tech showed some pics of rust under his and i pulled up mine and they were rust free, but there was a good amount of dust/dirt under there so i took a wet paper towel and cleaned them off and then dried them (in the pics the edge is still dirty because i forgot that section but i went back and cleaned there too)

just an FYI but those things are very simple to take off (you simply pull them up and they pop off, no tools needed and they are almost as easy to get on, you just have to line up the clips with the holes and push down)

(all those white flakes are just dust particles.. i forgot to go over the rockers with the cali duster after i wiped them down with the wet paper towel/dried the area)
