Noone has asked me any dumb questions yet, but some idiot with a v6 camaro said he was going to cut holes in his seats so he can get a 5 point harness (in his words "racing seat belts")

I pulled up at the local Chevy dealership to have my car looked at in their body shop and one of the auto mechanics there asked me if I knew I have a REALLY BAD misfire......I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first and said "No, can you hear it?"

He said, "You hear how it isnt idling smooth, how it is really really rough? That means it is missing on at least one cylinder if not more...I can fix that for you if you want!" I just had this blank look on my face and had no real response other than "Are you retarded???? ITS CAMMED!"

i have a 12gallon air tank in the bed of my el camino for the air suspension. i always have people asking my stupid shit about what the tank was for. the best was when the owner of a local bar/resturant went out to check out my car and came back in and asked me if i was heading somewhere fast. i said" what do you mean". he replies " that thing has got to move with all that nos in the back" lol . the car sat as it does in my sig. who in there right mind puts a 12g nos tank on a car that looks like that,weighs that much, and has 5"wide tires on it !!:laugh::laugh::clap:

the first show with the ultra z hood and badges I heard some kid say to another kid that the Ultra-Z was designed by Saleen whan the fist kid said "what is an Ultra-Z?". The same show a lady walked up and said to her husband/boyfriend that my car looked like a camaro (it says camaro on the FRC's and the hood was open) but she read the badges and said she didnt know what an Ultra-Z was but she thought maybe was an older vette with a body kit (i seriously cant make this shit up) and he male companion just nodded.
The best was not directed at my car but at my buddys 91 Z - at a show 2 kids walked up to his car (i was parked next to him) one said I bet that Ultra Z could beat this old Camaro (they said IROC) the other kid said -"shit man, this car is supercharged!" he was pointing at his chrome alternator. To this day it is referred to as either the super-nator or alter-charger.. LOL

I think it goes back to the days of when every schmuck with a 327 or 427 said it was a vette motor regardless what car it was in. Just becasue it was out of a vette didnt make it any better. Some vettes had better cams, carbs, etc.. but just becasue you say it was a vette motor didnt really mean much. There are more vette motors out there than there were vettes built... LOL

3 people I work with have called it a camaro( I drive a corvette, and have nothing against camaros) The first few times I was cool with it and I would just tell them "its a corvette." But now it pisses me off because those same people keep calling it a camaro!

I haven't really received many stupid comments lately. I use to get them back in high school when I drove a '94 Z28 then a '97 Z28. Since then (bought my SS a month after graduation) I haven't daily driven my f-body so typically I don't get a lot of stupid questions at the track or car cruises. Don't get me wrong I'm sure I'll get some at the gas pumps but typically it's either a complement or one time a guy told me my tire was a little low on air.

I did have one time I asked for a part I told him it was a 94 Camaro 5.7 six speed. He asked what size engine... I again said 5.7.... he stood for a second with a blank stare.... He asked is it the V6? I said no it is the LT1. Keep in mind there are only 2 choices on the screen one even said 5.7liter.... and I already said it isn't the v6..... after about 10 seconds, I finally said it's the V8.


I know it isn't a dumb question but it is a funny story.
