Ok my car is pretty much a weekend street car that see's the tracks quite a bit. So my question is should i leave the front sway bar or lose it. I only really drive it on the weekends for about 100 miles at most.

without a swaybar your car should most likely have more body roll through the turns.

But is that something you're going to notice just driving it everyday, or would you not notice that unless you were auto crossing?

Mine is off, I can still take off-ramps somewhat quickly, I usually go around 45-50 before I start to feel a little roll.

you will notice a huge difference in body roll. i have owned 3 f body's that i took the front off. if u drag race alot take it off but it it is mainly a dd then i would leave it one. if u do like handeling/turns u will also want to keep it on

Your handling on the street will be reduced greatly. If it's 90% track then get rid of it. otherwise, keep it.

The main reason I was thinking about taking it off is it gets in the way of my Speed Inc Alt. Relocation kit.

This is something Ive been wondering as well, my car is mainly a street car, not a dd by any means, but I am getting into racing to. I know the removal of the sway bar will yield some benefits at the strip. You can always take if off and drive around and see what its like and then put it back on, its not hard to take off or put on quickly.

Can also unbolt the sway bar links at the track and then put back on for street driving.

the only thing with unbolthing the links is that the sway bar may swing down and catch the road surface, youd have to find a way to keep it held up temporarily, maybe some zip ties or a coat hanger.

It's a drastic change. If you can notice a 3mm thicker sway bar, you'll notice it gone completely. Lane changes, ramps, quick turns, anything where the weight would shift, it's noticeable.
You have to think, if a sway bar didn't matter unless you were auto crossing, would GM ave put it there to begin with? Not to mention offer a thicker one? (WS6/1LE)
It's been so long since I've had my sway bar on I'm just used to the way it drives and handles. I didn't build this car to take corners and with the 315's out back, I'd be scared to go screaming around a corner too fast anyway so I just slow down a bit.
I like the way my car rides. Shed that biotch!

Yes I have driven around soo much without it that I am already used to it. I love the way it drives and handles just fine.

Take it off and your sixty foot time will improve by allowing the front end to come up quicker. I don't miss it on the street either.

So for cornering and what not, it's probably better to keep it on? I am thinking about track racing, not drag racing and need to know if I should go thicker..

Yes for circle track racing you should keep it on and if can afford new get a thicker one to reduce the body roll even further.
