I was thinking of trying again to get the event televised. Maybe one of the Powerblock shows like Horsepower TV...etc etc. Do any of you have any ideas of how to ask them or present our event to them so they will show an interest? Last year I put us up on there MYpowerblock.com site and had no luck. Would anyone else be willing to try and get this done?

just tell them you could have the right to show it on tv and that they can pritty much do anything they want. and also ask speed channel cause they do byrons wheel stand competition. and im sure they would love to do that.

anyone have mad power point skills to put a presentation together? then you could present them with a slidshow/video to get there attention. i think the hptv guys would be our best bet.

has anyone thought about tryin to get in touch w/stacy david from the show Gears tv thats on speed channel. his show is based somewhere around middle tn area. he did a few appearances at local shows last summer. it would be cool if his show built a ltx to send out there too.

I do yes. I have seen Horsepower TV at show car events on Holilday weekends....ie July 4th, Memorial Day,....etc.

tony is there any other activities besides the drag racing this year?seems like most of the events you see on those shows have a ton of other stuff going on besides the actual drag racing,,maybe thats what it takes to get theyre attention

Have you thought about contacting www.competitionplus.com? I know its not tv but when I raced IHRA Pro Stock Bobby Bennett was a racing promoter and was just getting the site started up. Its a huge site now, I think 1 million plus hits a month or so. Anyway that would be a great way to get the word out. Its a strictly drag racing site.
