I wish I didn't have to change anything and could just spend time dialing in my old 350ci SR combo...but I'm forced to make a change because my 350 shit the bed. So...since I had to fix it anyways, I figured why not add some displacement :D If all goes well, I'll have the new 396 ci combo in the car and tuned by the time the track opens back up this spring.

As may of you know, the past few years I've been very involved racing my tube-chassis Cavalier in the NHRA Summit Series and haven't been focused on the LTX Shoot-Out. However, I've still got my LTX Camaro and it is running really great (new best this past fall for the car)! So, I may show-up this year and run in the Modified N/A class again.

Also, gas prices are climbing already this year, which makes towing an enclosed trailer across the country really expensive!

I just looked-up the mileage for Ellis to make it to Bowling Green. One-way is 2400 miles, so we're talking 4800 miles round-trip for Ellis! If he gets about 13 MPG towing (typical mileage) and gas stays around $3.40 a gallon, we're talking about $1,300.00 in tow vehicle gas for Ellis to make it to the Shoot-Out and back home.

Now that is a serious financial commitment for Ellis!!! Although, I guess Tanner has about the same situation.

at 8 mpg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! half ton Ram w/hemi, total tow weight 17,000 lbs! the rolling shed is awesome but it is just that a big heavy shed, lol!

any tips on how to score sponsors? how do you approach a Shell or Sunoco and say help me, i drag race but your gas prices are killing me! lmao!!!!
