Okay, so I will be starting my internal work on my Z in a couple of months, and have been told that LPE 219/219 (219/219 .560/.560 112 LSA) cam will be good for my set-up. However, I did a little bit of reading, and it seems that turbo cams tend to have higher LSA than this cam (114+ LSA). I am doing a .060 over with 3.875 crank running between a 76mm to 88mm turbo. What are your recommendations for a cam? The more I read, the more this doesn't sound like a good one for my set-up...

It'll work but you really don't want a 112LSA
Mine is a tad bigger than that but on a 114+2

Grow some and go like mine.......110* on a 108* ICL. :D

I am getting so much conflicting information regarding this subject, I am getting confused. Some say you want a split duration, and some say you want a close duration.

Truthfully, pretty much anything works for an FI cam. My GT2-3 cam in my former Vette was a 207/220 duration with a 117* lsa. Other guys were running stuff like single pattern 227 cams, and others reverse splits. For a turbo application, it boils down to overlap. Too much overlap and you bleed off cylinder pressure (like my cam, it's not optimal for sure).
For the LT1 I'd go with a typical split pattern cam with a 114ish LSA. The LPE cam will probably work just fine, it will DEFINITELY keep cylinder pressure up. You could also run something like a 218/224, or the 224/236 from Comp. Alvin from PCMForLess was running a baby 212/218 on his T-trim 93 Formy and was making an easy near 600 RWHP IIRC. You don't need a huge cam unless you're trying for huge power.

I am looking to run 10-14 lbs of boost off of a 76 to 88mm, rev to 6500, 4000 stall, with the above specs for the block.

rev to 6500
This is the important part. Truthfully, determine the following:
-at which rpm you want to make peak power/tq
-idle/drive ability
If you wanted to make peak power at 7000rpm, then the 219/219 wouldn't be the right cam. If you want peak power at 5600-5800rpm, then I'd say the 219/219 would work out just fine.
The turbo will make power with any cam... kind of funny really. Obviously there are more efficient setup then others, but if your hp goals are modest, then the two items I listed should take priority.
