i see lots of people doing a good job of hiding the bottle and lines in the car and the when they get under the hood they give up on trying to "hide" the lines

can some one please post pics of "hidden" installs under the hood ... i dont want my kit in the future screaming to people "Hey this guy sprays NITROUS!!!!!!'' as soon as they open the hood

Direct port? TB/plate? dry/wet? Do have anything setup currently that's hidden? A lot of people hide the bottle in the hatch where the spare tire is. You can hide switches/gauges in the glovebox, center console, or ash tray.

Hope that helps, but with more info people can help you more. I know Formula383 on here (Kyle) has a somewhat hidden install but I think his engine bay is pretty obvious. It's been a while since I've seen pics of his setup so I'm unsure or it could have changed.

its kind of hard to hide any wet kit on an lt1. dry is a lot easier as its a straight shot for the most part, but with the added lines needed to run fuel a wet kit has, it gets harder to keep it all hidden, especially if you want it close to the throttle body/after the maf. anyone who knows what they're talking about will be able to find a plate and a hidden direct port is a feat of engineering on an lt1 intake. like you said, the only clue my car is sprayed is the purge line barely poking out, until you pop the hood

i am not spraying now but in the future i prolly will i just want to pop the hood and not see lines just sitting there

any pics of this guys install

Drill holes in back of intake manifold , run them in the lifter galley and do direct port

i actually like that idea ... future project ... hmmm ... very nice

I had a picture of a setup like that Ill see if I can find it, I dont see why you couldnt run a wet setup non direct port like that?

Thats not but it can and has been done. Just put it up there and as example

Wow that is a nice setup. I love how clean it is even with all those lines.

thats really your only option for hiding a direct port

im currently running a fogger that is in the elbow, noids are mounted on top the fuel rail. im working on moving the noids to go under the cold air intake by the filter completely hidden covering, all the braided lines with rubber hose, and moving the nozzle under the elbow or somewhere else not completely sure yet but it will be hidden.

here's a set up that was a members here that he recently sold i saved the pics so i could do a similar set up...

just asking,i havent done machine work on lt1 intakes myself so im not sure how everything flows on it

Well. Anyone who knows racing will know your sprayed as soon as you hit it. They can smell it, hear it and see it...

Lol, Ive found that ppl don't keep their word. I had a hidden single fogger, ran a few people, never got fully paid. Sucked but back then I wasn't going to start a fight because a D bag wouldn't pay up 25 bucks. Never got another run at the race spot. Car was slow too.

exactly! besides, around here at least, if your gonna race someone for cash, its assumed your hiding something, so no ones ever surprised if they get beat

its no diff down here where im at. when there trying to set up a race (with your knowledge or without) you will see a group of dudes with flashlights looking in ur windows crawling under the car, then they ask you if you want to run tonight then they ask u to pop ur hatch an hood an what u have done to it.

iv got my noids behind my pcm ya got to look hard to see em. and my lines r run under things and i have black conduit round the lines. the damn nozzle is the hard part to hide with a ram air set up

95formula383lt1
11-24-2010, 05:26 AM
hmmm thats a good idea.... u had enough line to do all that with the kit?

SexyTransAm

i ordered longer lines to go from the noids to the nozzle

the hard part is that the noids that i got at bottom exit side entrance ...

On my first setup, I mounted them in the trans tunnel. Then I moved them to the front under the air filter, and lastly all four sit in their current stealthy location on top of the intake between the two spray bars.

If you want to get sneaky but cant afford the direct port, I think I've seen a TB that had nitrous bars in it. Wire loom and tuck your feeds and it would be hard for someone to notice if you kept the line and shot small enough. But, as said above, a lot of people will notice after the fact, or for sure during! lol

ItSSlowZ28

just remember, keeping the noids as close to the nozzle as possible will help avoid a lean spike caused by the nitrous hitting the nozzle faster than the fuel
