was able to squeeze 1 whole run in tonight. was the last friday night at this track, so car count was enormous. hell sat in the staging lanes for over an hour waiting to run. damn imports kept breaking. could have made two passes, but was pointless...

i have to find out why she won't hook? thinking maybe it's the m/t 275/50r15??? may need to jump up to a 28" or a bias-ply??? did a real nice burnout, rolled her out, lined up in the groove, purged and bam nothing but tire spin, let off, back in, she went pop and took off.... was pissed and screwed the 1-2 shift aswell as the 2-3...

My guess is

friday night + ricers with street tires rolling through the water in the burn out box leaving water on the track = you spinning

This could very well have been it.

Thank god the last time I went to the track and ran some decent times there wasnt a ricer in sight. I also had to pay the $100.00 for the track rental too, but whatever. At least it was all strictly drag cars keeping a nice line of rubber down :D

thats what i'm hoping, that and to much power out the hole. one fbody friend was pulling 1.5's and another 1.7's but both n/a. weve decided to head to maryland international raceway on the 14th. much better track and much better prep for sure. so i'm feeling good about traveling the 2 1/2 hours there to finnaly get some 10sec slips :metal:

there was a track rental at vmp earlier in the day, really wanted to go there afterwards, knowing that the track prep was gonna be much better, but the nimrods i was going with didn't want to travel the extra 20minutes, should have went by myself, lol!

well i have a whole new outlook on this after watching that video ( thanks april!! ) what i thought was wheel spin and not going anywhere is actually not at all.

so if you guys would do me a great big favor and watch the video and see what you think is happening. i belive i know, but not sure yet why it's doing it......

def need more seat time, thought forsure it was wheel spin, lmao!
