Please Identify this part

Hi everyone I just recently acquired a 95 LT1 Trans Am, and while driving I could smell gas. A friend of mine came over to help me find all the problems with the car and besides the surface rust underneath the smell of gas was a problem. We found this part that appears to be broken above the rearend and near the front of the gas tank, we could also smell fuel vapors.

I want to replace it because it looks dangerous to have fuel possibly spilling from there. Can anyone help me identify it? Is it maybe emmisions something or other?

It looks like part of the evap system.... The evap canister is in the rear fender on the driver's side.... I would check to see if the other side of the connector is there.

its a pressure vent for the fuel tank
