Just threw this together tonight. I bought a used kit off of someone and decided to use what he gave me (being that this is a budget build). What do you guys think on the nozzle positions? Too close? The driver side nozzle isn't DIRECTLY pointing in the throttle blade hole simply because of the nature of the rubber bellow and the lines pulling/positioning the nozzle it wherever they please. Any opinions? Just wondering if it will be effective at all.. To me it looks fine, but I is a newb :shiner:

Do you have nozzle adaptors on those nozzles? Or are they just stuck in the tubing, hard to tall inn the picture

something like this will help hold the nozzles in place

They are just pushed in, no adapters.. I just hope it's fine that one of them isn't DIRECTLY pointing in the blade.. We'll see soon enough. Just need to finish wiring it all up :) Thank you for the idea though! I will keep that in mind if I have any issues..

If it is just pushed into the rubber there is a good chance that they will be pushed out and spraying under the hood when you use them.

If it is going in the rubber use the adapters that are pictured above.

Or this is another option without adapters.

Sprayed about 250+ with that setup. The nozzles are screwed into the MAF. They have to be on the back side(facing the throttle body and not in front of the wires in the maf

Gotcha. Thanks for the ideas. Eventually I am going to get an NX maf end or something, this is just temporary to get everything situated. I was just wondering if it would make a difference (performance-wise) if one of the nozzle wasn't directly pointing in the TB blade (passenger side nozzle is straight, just driver side is sort of cocked to the side - looking like it would be spraying some into the IAC holes in the center of the TB). I will try and take a picture with the MAF off to show you guys what I mean.

I would make sure it's straight. Even if it doesn't cause an imediate problem, I wouldn't think you'd get equal amounts to each cylinder.

Yeah I see your concern. The thing is that this is as temporary as it gets. I am looking to get an NX maf end when budget allows me to. I just want to use this setup because I got it with the kit. Not spraying anything huge - approximately a 135 shot. Running a FPSS, colder plugs, pulling timing and using a window switch. Should be alright for a few runs (one can only hope :jest: )

Did a couple of test passes today. Car felt awesome.. Unfortunately no traction on the slicks (granted, it was on the street). But it was spin city through all 3 gears. No backfiring, no nothing. Ran like a champ. Only thing is the engine bay smelled like fuel when we got back. Absolutely no leaks though. Thinking maybe its puddling a tad in the throttle body or intake mani a bit?

It's probably puddling in the rubber coupler you have the nozzles pushed into. Under spray, the nozzles are under a lot of pressure, and they're probably moving under spray. This does have other implications...if you're smelling of fuel and you're puddling somewhere, that means you're not getting the fuel into the motor along with the nitrous, and could be getting an unsafe proportion of nitrous to fuel. I wouldn't spray it until you're ready to get it plumbed and hooked up RIGHT. Stop now before you blow it up and have a mess on your hands that costs a lot more to fix than getting your MAF end or something else (Nitrous outlet plate wouldn't be a bad idea, you'd have to make a few plumbing changes though).

Found the problem (forgot to update).. The adapter (1/4in NPT to #4 AN on the fuel solenoid) was the problem. The AN end must have been slightly mushroomed or damaged (it was a used part) and must not have been making a good seal with the t-fitting's female AN end and was spraying fuel everywhere (which is weird that it happened when I sprayed, but was fine on initial startup while idling). Replaced the fitting and the leak is gone - no more fuel smell either :)
