New here and new to this 93Z I just bought. I have a question about the front grille area between the fog/running lights. I remember my 94 had a bowtie int he middle, this one does not. Can someone tell mewhy. I looked up an original 93 sales ad and the Z has the emblem. I am just curious.

well there is no grille per say..it is all molded to the front facia...mine is smooth were the bowtie is supposed to be.

It may have been wrecked and an aftermarket front fascia may have been put on. I know that firebirds aftermarket front ends dont have a bird on them so it may be the same with the camaros???

Someone may have popped it off and stripped the glue?

On my last Z the car wash blasted mine off...I kept it as a memory so it's driving around without a front bowtie too.

I didnt realize the bowtie popped off...I never looked close enough on my 94 I had that it wasnt part of the facia. I learn something all the time.:) Looks like mine dissapeared as well. Thanks guys!

The bow ties are molded into the front fascia. They are not removable. Some owners painted theirs to match the car color. I painted mine black to hide it from behind the aluminum grill I added on.

Hmm. All of mine were only held on by double sided tape. I have since removed it when repainting the front end.

I just checked mine and its taped on to. The bird on the bumper of my formula is moled on though.

Same here, mine popped of when I hit a deer doing about 70. It left some of the tape, though :jest:

I got a billet grille now, so there's nothing there.

The bow ties are held on with double sided tape...I removed mine and painted it black and will take it off once I find a black grill.
