Well I put the 50 jets in it this evening and went out to try it. Had some problems with the FPSS, but got it adjusted so the solinoids would stay on. But I'm hearing a noise, so i hooked up my laptop with datamaster and tryed it again. When the nitrous would hit the knock count jumped about 3000 or more points but only pulled 3 deg of time. I'm pulling 2 deg with my 685 on top of that. the O2 sensors are staying around 900 on the nitrous so I dont think its lean? What am I hearing? I dont think it spark knock, because the pistons would be in peaces, so is it just the spraying sound? I have the datamaster logs if someone want to look at them.

Thanks

50 shot. Why bother. :hmm:

You can't tune by the stock o2 sensor. If you want to know how it is running make a pass on a clean set of plugs and pull them out to check it. If I know a car is going to be spraying I tend to set up the spark knock so that it is not as sensitive and can not pull much timing.

Put the 150 jets in it andf let us know how it works.

If it is making more power the exhaust will be louder, not for sure if that is what you heard. But I don't think you could have hurt it. Is there anything on the plugs and what plugs are you running?

You could be hearing the FPSS giving an intermittent signal to the solenoids to they "snap" open and closed.

FPSS are junk and are known for this problem. Try bypassing it for one run and see what happens.

Going to the dyno on the 25th to tune it for the 150. I've got 16 BR7EF's That I'll install when I get there. The guy that runs the dyno is a nitrous guy so he knows what to look for, infact he cuts the plugs open so he can see the bottom of the porcelan.
I looked at the number 1 plug and it was black around the edge and beige on the electrode.I still have the TR55 in it right now thats why only the 50 shot.
I think what I'm hearing is the spraying sound from under the hood.

What do you think of the knock count going up so high at initial hit? I't only pulls between 1-2 degrees when it does it.

I had that problem the first try so I bypassed it and it went away. Then I flow tested it and set it so it would not flutter.
I have NO insulation under my hood so I think it's the spraying sound I'm hearing now.
