Hey guys I want to buy a set of either the weld pro star wheels or the summit fast five (prostar replicas) but I don't know what size to get. If anybody could let me know what size wheels your running and provide a picture I appreciate it. Thanks

Summit stars here: 4.75 5 lug bolt pattern, 15X8 5.5 BS rear, 15X4 1.75 BS up front. For my setup if I could do it again I would have gone with the 15X10's for the rear. I really wanted to go with the Pro Stars to keep my parts American, but I couldn't convince myself to pay the extra cash for the name. Now, I actually like the 1 piece design of the knock off better, you can use a normal acorn style lug nut instead of the shank style.

Would I be able to do the 15x10 summit stars without fitment issues? on the rear. If so what backspacing would I need. And I have drilled and slotted rotors and stock lt1 calipers so brake fitment shouldnt be an issue right guys?

Also what tires are you guys running. Im assuming your running drag radials so what brand and size are you running?

the summit wheels dont have the right backspace to run a 10" wide on a stock rear. ya need 7.5 for a 10" the most the summit stars have is 5.5

Looks like they do have a 6.5, wonder if that would work.

There are other inexpensive wheel choices out there if you look hard enough. I made a thread on a few other boards. Check it out:

I like them because they use regular lug nuts and they seem to be bulit better. I'd keep mine but I am getting out of racing.

These look strange. Cant figure it out. I think its the backspacing on the front and rear.

The 6.5 back spacing will stick out the side on a stock rear end.

7.5 back spacing is correct on 15X10 pro star and stock rear end.

the 6.5" backspace 15x10 will "work" but won't allow you to take advantage of the bigger size tires that are compatible w/ 10s. For example, you'd never be able to run a 325/50-15 or even a bigger made 275/60-15 on that wheel...it would hit. You may be able to do a 275/50-15 on a 6.5" backspace wheel on a non-lowered car. I've run 7" backspace 10s and that works. 7.5" is the safe bet and you can find used prostars all day long. Check out ls1tech's wheel classifieds or yellowbullet.com.

+1 for the prostars, I think the summit stars look kinda weird, i can't tell from the pics or not but the stars look wider to me.

With the correct backspacing listed for the 15x8 wheel will I have an issue with the wheel hitting the brake caliper?
