All-

I'm considering my options for wiring dual 255 Walbro pumps for my S/C build. I'm going to use 1 pump at all times, and have the other on a Hobbs switch at 4psi. I have 1 racetronix hot wire kit currently.

Let me know which option you'd go for, or suggest something else.

1) run the primary pump off the hotwire kit, and tap off that power to a hobbs switch and a relay for the second pump;
or
2) Have 2 hotwire kits, one of them running the primary pump and the other running through a hobbs switch to the second pump.

Thoughts?

2 hotwire kits. That way each pump is getting full power. I am using dual pumps on my nitrous set-up with the 2nd pump on a switch in dash. I already had a walbro pump and hotwire kit, then added a 2nd pump and made my own hotwire set-up for 2nd.

Thanks for the help. You're the second one to tell me to run 2 hotwire kits. I'll go with that.

Not much for wiring pics, but all I really did was run 2 individual hotwire kits, and I just ran the ground from the second one to the hobbs switch, and the hobbs will complete the ground circuit for the second pump. No big deal.

I used a hotwire kit as it comes in the box for the first pump that runs at all times. My second "hotwire" kit is just a lead ran off my alternator to a relay that is wired to the second pump, and the relay's ground goes through the hobbs switch, so the switch completes the circuit via ground.
In the tank, both pumps' grounds were wired together. The positive leads to go their separate power sources.

Im thinking about going e85 and would have to run the same kind of setup to supply enough fuel. Thanks for the write up. Greatly appreciated!!!!:claps:

You actually dont anymore.. Aeromotive released a new fuel pump that will supply more fuel and is compatible with e85.. I think its like 30 bucks more than a walboro..
