Ok well ive had my sts turbo kit for a couple of years and due to buying a house and other things requiring money Ive never been able to build an engine. The system has a T76 turbo. These are my mods 58mm Tb edelbroke intake manifold:doh: waste of money I know... 42#injectors, shortys with catless Ypipe. Now I know this turbo is huge for the engine the way it is what would be required to even get this sucker to push 5 to 7 psi? Cam ? Heads? or full out build im just looking to run it for the summer till I have the money this winter start building... Any help would be great thanks Braden

He needs to know the AR of the turbo, that will determine how easy it is to spool, for example the AR of my TC78 is .96

I know this probably sounds strange I have had the kit for a while and its been sitting so in the mean time I got very addicted to spray. I was going to sell the kit without ever trying it..... Everyone started giving me a guilt complex saying I was stupid for never giving boost a try. Thats why I wanted to try the kit before I build an engine, cause boost needs low compression and spray likes high and I like to see which power adder I like better. Are you happy with you STS kit? just curious I 'm not trying to start an sts war lol

do you want a race car or a car that's fast that can be driven everyday... over all it depends on what your goals are.... sts/rear-mount turbos in general breed DRAMA .. you know, because it's " different" :jest: ... i love my kit! my car runs like a bat out of hell!( when it is running) no noticeable lag and once i get some bills paid off i'll be shooting for high 500's to low 600's.. but over all here is my thoughts on sts& rear mount turbos...

It's nice to see someone who really is happy with their kit. Alot of people bash them.. So is there somewhere I can do some more reading indepth about turbos cause I would like to see if I like FI before committing to building an engine for it. Thats why I was asking what the minimum I could get away with just to try the kit.

Well I got the kit for free, and since I didnt plan on going with a shot any bigger than 125. I didnt see the need to switch to a wet kit until I decide if I was going to go with boost or spray. So I got the car tuned for the 125 dry and have never had any problems with it.
