I'm looking for some info on low impedence fuel injectors. Since i'm going turbo and plan on making a little more power i've been looking at some injectors but don't know if the low impedence injectors can be used on my 96 Trans Am. So what does it take to run this type of injector? Different ECM? Stand Alone?

I believe AEM makes a converter box but don't know if it's compatible with the LT1 computer. Otherwise, aftermarket computer is where you'll need to go.

How much power are you looking to make?
I hope to be pushing anywhere between 600-700 RWHP, and I'm using 84# high impedance injectors. That way you don't need an injector driver box.
There's a guy on LS1tech (JeremyF I think) who sells big injectors in several styles, low and high impedance, I'll probably be picking mine up from him.

I'm just lookin to make 700 horse at the flywheel. I was lookin for some injectors around 65 lb/hr. And if I can find some that will work with my factory ECM than I will definately buy them up.

You dont need to go with an aftermarket Setup,Like QC says, I saw an add one time for injectors up to 100lb + that were high impedance, I run 85lb low with a driver..

65 lb? That's pretty damn light for 700 HP. You'll be maxing them out if you're not careful. The worse thing you can do is max out the duty cycle and end up leaning out...unless you really want engine detonation, in which case you'd want to stick with stock  Just kiddin'.
Seriously though, someone chime in and mention 65 being a bit light.
I was going to go with 65's and I got a whole bunch of replies saying I was nuts.
And yes, the ones that JeremyF is selling on LS1tech will work with factory ECM (as long as they're high impedance) just need a tune for them.

Yea I know you are right. 65 is gonna be cuttin it close. I for some reason had it in my head that I would be looking at low impedence injectors once I got past 65. I don't know where I came up with that idea.

What kind of driver are you talkin about?

Its an Injector driver box to run Low Impedance injectors, I actually bought the first one made by?? Maybe it was AEM I honestly don't remember, but it was his prototype box then they went into production.

I think Acceleronics made one, I remember talking about low impedance injector driver boxes with Jason Short, he's a pretty known guy in the F/I world on here, LS1tech, CamaroZ28.com, etc.

High Impedance injectors + Factory ECM + Tune = No PITA.

This sounds good. I will just look for high impedance and keep it simple.
