spun bearing question.

i was woundering how can you tell if you spun some bearings, like the symtoms and what not. i havnt spun any nor do i know anyone who has, thats why im asking.

metal in the oil, rod clacking or knocking, some times loud high pitched noises as well. mostly though it would just have a lost sounding rattle. a good way to tell is cut ur filter open an check of shavings. the other thing would be low oil pressure or gauge jumping around (hard to tell with these junk senders that jump anyways)

humm ok thanks alot! i figured the noise part but i would of never though of checking for metal shavings.

yea using a magnet wont help since bearings are aluminum an silicone material. so u just have to go finishing, and if there's any at all in it then they will be in the filter.
