best thing to do is get another 93/94 column but it really don't matter. then take ur old key and the new key to ur gm dealership and have them put the old resistor chip in the new key for the new column. i think it was 15 bucks for my dad, he had a 93 camaro and ended up with a 93 trans am column. OR by pass the vats by measuring the old resistor an cut the wires coming off the column and splice the right resistor or resistors (i had to use 3 different ones) in an not have to worry bout the chip.

Did you already buy a new column Ali? Hope not cause mine is coming out in a few more days its in good cond, if you want it you are more than welcome.
As mentioned above you bring your key for the old column and the key to the new one and have them cut a key to the new column for the resistance value of the old
bring it to Fairway ask for Loui he will fix you up in a few minutes i will even go with you.

Id just go to radio shack with your key and have them give you the right resistor and plug it in.

Other than that swapping the column is pretty straight forward.

After you unplug the battery hit the brakes to drain whats left in the system so the airbag has no juice. Sounds stupid but Ive seen it happen before where a kid had the battery unplugged and started doing dash work right away

Well I did that and I pulled the column and unplugged everything so no worries there,it was actually easier than I thought lol
