View Full Version : only 2 passes behind the wheel

Since my car arrived I drove to the track on back roads never getting to try any sort of standing blast.
At the track - they suck - limited to 2 test runs and your done. waste of money except I need to know.
1st pass 18psi tires 2200 staged rpm, hot motor from lining up too soon - 11.77 at 116.8, felt lke ass through the pull.
2nd pass 15psi tires, 1500 staged rpm, cool motor lining up properly -
11.52 at 118.62

I think even less tire psi and 1200 rpm launch and just plain better conditions will get me 11.30 ish.

I'm happy with the car overall, superchargers are weird - getting used to the way it reacts to full throttle stomps and deceleration.

Of course I already want more boost :cool:

thanks guys! I know there is quicker times in it with practice.
2 runs because test and tune was cancelled for nostalgia event = 78 and older.
they "let" us newerr cars make 2 test psses, what a way to get entry fees :frustrated:

I'm actually hoping to do better.
I've pulled that 60' with drag radials and 18psi on other head/cam cars.
I think it will do a 1.5 with more tweak time.
I really just got the car to enjoy on the street so these timeslips have to carry me for awhile ;)

lol! test runs are always a crap shoot what's next to you.
I like when something equal lines up and it feels like a real race

where in CT r u? im in westfield MA... u near there? yea LVD usually dosent have the best conditions from what i've heard...

30 miles from u man - down 10/202 then 44 west
conditions and ethics - should have let me make more passes - wasn't even that crowded!
