I'm pretty sure I'll have a big freakin target on my back for the bracket class so I'm just gonna do my best to defend my title. Now if I decide to run esna I'll be guning for last years winner and runner up(if they both enter that class). But that all depends on where I'm at et wise after all the suspension changes,dyno tune,intake porting and trans work that'll be done before the event. I think 11.5's will be a good goal to shoot for as that's faster then the fastest pass in esna last year.

Yeah. I noticed that 1 sec into each pass, but it is painfully obvious when reviewing the footage. That's why my buddy put together a compilation of our launches. I started adjusting shock settings in the pits but ran out of time to test what I was doing. Have a plan on how I am going to set up the front/rears next time out. Going to see where that gets me. Don't think a tire change is necessary at this point... but we'll see.

Track prep was also not good, but that is normal for a Friday night. I also lined up out of the groove one pass. :doh: These old eyes aren't working that great at night. :frustrated:

When I run motor passes I set the fronts on 1 and the rears on 7. On nitrous I set the fronts on 5 (along with tightening the travel limiters) and the rears on 8 or 9.

You need to transfer the weight and fast....so I say leave the fronts on 1 and set the rears on 8- 9. You need to hit the tires hard on radials. This will plant them, transfer weight, and carry on down the track. If you set the fronts on 4 it may un-load on you. Just try and see.

I'm going to tighten up the front just a little too before the first pass. If that doesn't work, I'll loosen it back up. It's an experiment and I should be able to get enough passes to try a couple different settings. I'll go on another test and tune night, not a competition event, so what I like to do is make a change and then do 2 passes before touching it again. If both launches are going in the same direction (better, worse, etc.) then I know what I'm doing is probably good or not good, or that I'm going in the right direction (or not). The shitty track prep Friday night could have played a big role, but there are some changes to the car (as you know) and so it's just natural that it will have to be dialed in again.

Anyway, let's get this back to the smack talking.

Cool. I don't have any electronics in my cars. At my local track (Union) I ran footbrake last year. I ran 6 out of 11 races for points and managed to finish third. That said, I really doubt that I will run the brackets at this event. If I bring a second car it will be to help attendance, so I will probably let someone else drive it. Mod N/A will be hard enough!

Oh yeh I am coming in race trim fo sho. 3400 or so... farkin car has lead in it somewhere I swear. Car is gonna have the bare necessities, one seat, no exhaust etc.

I aint changing much, ported intake, 4 hole tb, looser converter, retune. I am hoping for some low 10's on the motor. 10.30's at least. 10.20's would be stellar.

it was good to see your car "whole" i am sure there is no one happier than you to see it is such a state!

i am busy working on glamour mods...Brady better watch out, i am coming for the engine bay award, lol!!! i chose to stick with the stock electric fan...for now, and opted to bling out some engine parts, lol!!! it will look cool when done!

i will bug you guys next time i am up that way :)

I used to feel the same way until I drove 7 hours away to race and broke the 10bolt. I drive my car on the street all the time, but I'm trailering it to BG for this event.



Hopefully I will be quick enough to put a couple people in the trailer in ES N/A.

i have done the pump gas drags 3 times, which was a cake walk imho. but then again, my car really wasn't that quick compared to some of the other rides!

secondly i have driven to the track bust off single digits and drove the car home, that is a 2 hour drive each way.

I too have broken my stock ten bolt mnay years ago 3 hrs from home! guess what a tow costs ???? CAA covered it but i had to pay up front, almost $300.00 !!!

so please drives your's there break it, and lets see you get your street car home! :whistle:

besides where to put all the supplies, bottles, coolers, clothes, bottles (beer), etc..... naw i will gladly hang out in an enclosed trailer when it is raining at the track, it is a cheap place to sleep in overnight at the track as well.

i will gladly run your street car with my street car :hmm:
