Beach week sucks balls, its hot as phuck, turnouts blow, and the good sponsors were ran off. Hope they get someone new in that will make it half ass atleast.

everyone just kinda got lost we should of found a big enough food place so we can all sit together.

lol, half of us got lost cause of the redlight. and no one else in the back of the pack knew where we were going haha. I had to get my gf back to the room and most of the cars followed me to our hotel

Do you have any ideas to beef up the beach week?

One thing that would majorly help is if there were some hotel cooperation. No one has been able to set up a group rate or designated hotel(s). That sucks for us out of towners paying summer rates and having to book 6 months in advance just to get a room at $180 a night.

Another thing, beach week is centered around either the track events or the car show. Now I didnt make it for the full weekend last year, but prior years everything and everyone were spread out. It would be good to have things planned that didnt overlap, or were closer together.

Parking is another thing a lot of folks hate since MB is so packed that time of year. But theres not really anything to do about that one.

Some fine tuning and hotel cooperation, things will definitely pick up.

Well I know some people in the hotel business maybe I can talk to them for you.
I dont know if you have contact with everybody else that comes down but if you get me an estimate number of people I will see what I can do.

I also wish I knew who exactly organizes it, I think a better track to go to is Darlington, its about 2 hours from MB but its a nice 1/4 mile track and they have a huge success with mustang week.

alright guys on the friday the 16th thers gonna be an autocross, 0-60-0, burnout contest, street drags on the straightaway, and track runs around the oval, entry fee is 20 for everything and 5 to spectate so 20 bucks gets u into like 6 events at the myrtle beach speedway. oh yea this is gonna be from 3pm to 8pm. there is also goin to be a cruise at berkys startin at around 6pm. so lets make this year a good turnout.

the March meet is Triad Fbody's annual beach trip. This makes our 4/5 year going but the 3rd official trip. Cant remember. Anyways its several of us from a local club that goes down for the weekend just to hang out.

Yea River city Cafe is pretty nice. They have one in Socastee as well and in Myrtle Beach but I think the MB one is closed during the "off season"
The one in Socastee is near 544 and 707 off by the swing bridge, just opened not too long ago.
The local car scene usually meets up at Buffalo Wild Wings or Sonic off 501 in Carolina Forest.
If its warm out its Sonic, if not BWW both have great parking spots and use to a car scene coming in.
